Speakeasy is effing hip. They have a Belltown office betwixt Shorty's and Noodle Ranch. I'm using them as my ISP instead of Comcast if I decide to put in Intarweb access at the ranch.

As I type this, Connie is on the phone in the other room trying to explain a URL to Mutti, who is enrolled in an Internet class after swearing on her girdle less than a year ago that she would never touch a computer. This is the same grandmother who calls my mother's answering machine and identifies herself as "Alameda.Mutti.com".

More on Connie and cheerful giver: When she was a child and supposed to use some of her allowance to put in the offering dish at church, my grandmother would whisper, "The Lord loves a cheerful giver."

I was grateful today that my credit card company has classical, since I was listening to it a long time.

APPLE, however, I have called many many times over the years (mostly tech support) and they have Alanis Morrissette, U2...it's a parade of hits over there in Macland.
